Alice Robinson sold out last night at the Unity Theatre in Liverpool; every seat filled, every eye on her one-woman performance. This was a shot I took during the performance itself, but I like to go to the dress rehearsal wherever possible, as the photographer can (if everyone agrees, of course) move about a bit and get some better and more varied angles. I'm also fascinated by both the artistic and the technical processes...I love seeing how all comes together on the night.

Alice Robinson continues to develop her show, and is taking it on tour in the north-west. Tonight I photographed her performance at the Adelphi Studio at Salford University, where she once studied herself.  The show - ‘Alice’ - is both gripping and surprising, so I’m being careful not to give too much away with this picture. But I can say that it’s visually stunning and bursting with energy .
