An ICM (international camera movement) image, this was taken in the Outer Hebrides, evoking the magical feel of the islands. It captures and enhances the incredible colours of the water and sand at Luskentryre Bay.
In parts, the clear water and white sand reflect and intensify the colour of the sky, while in others the water takes on a pink purple hue from the peat in the water flowing off the hills into the sea.

Beneath is the churning sea below Breanais, looking over to Eileen Mhealasta, off the remote far western coast of Lewis; and on the right, a streak of sunset reflected in Loch Smuaisebhal.
